Way too many commercials
Love the History channel, hate commercials taking up so much time! Vikings is my fave, can’t get enough, but you see 2 maybe 3 scenes and then boom! you’re bombarded with umpteen commercials! Give us a break! More show, less commercials. It would also be nice to see more historical period pieces like Vikings, as there are many of us who love love love ancient history. Not a big fan of the re-enactment shows though.
The History app is great, but there is a lot of black screen and once again, those horrid commercials! When something is first run on TV, advertisers are getting their commercials on at that time. Why do we have to endure the same thing online? There should not be commercials on any shows that are viewed online. It’s advertiser greed.

Many Improvements and Great Programing
As the updates flow the previous tech issues are resolved. I enjoy and follow many of their unique but timely (no pun intended) series. Oak Island, Knightfall, Vikings, and Forged in Fire all offer a peek into worlds that history books describe but paint only poor shadows of the people and events of the times. These series allow the viewer to realize that even legends are human, with all the pratfalls of our condition. For history to live on it must be reexperienced by the living in some way. I feel the programming on this channel strives to that goal.
I also give them kudo’s for producing shows in which the cutting edge researcher’s investigative paradigm falls under ‘Forbidden History’ or possible conspiracy theory. Yet, by the end of the series (I verify the purported data when it’s available to the public to determine any issues or theories counter to those presented) I support the conclusions of the researcher.
This is the kind of TV I want to see-keep up the great work! 😺
Great content, duplicated commercials is frustrating
The content in the shows that I watch on History Channel is fantastic! I know that commercials help pay for this wonderful content, but many times the exact same commercial repeats two or three times consecutively, non-stop, not even something different in between before the program resumes. It is this that gives me a subtle mental note to not consider purchasing the advertised item based on the principle that not only was my favorite show interrupted but also I have to watch the same ad two or three times in a row, non-stop, before I can continue the program that I was watching. With all of the technology today, really, do they have to do this? Other than the annoying commercials in triplicate, the History Channel is my all time favorite! Keep up the good work! Just please, keep the commercial interruptions reasonable..

While cable has been the traditional way to catch all your favorite shows for quite some time now, in recent years, streaming devices and services have become widely popular, and with good reason. Compared to cable, there’s just less hassle, especially since you can easily install streaming devices on your own.

However, can you still get all your favorites this way? What about the History channel? The answer is yes, and we’ll show you how.
Streaming Hardware
There’s plenty of advantages to switching to a streaming device over cable, and a big one is often the cost. You’ll find that more often than not, they’re under $100, and it’s as simple as going to the store (or ordering online), and plugging them into your TV. If that’s not a breeze, I don’t know what is. Here’s the 2 we recommend the most:
FireTV
Amazon’s FireTV is a streaming device that transforms your TV basically into a smart TV. Not only will you have access to all your channel subscriptions and streaming services, but you’ll also have access to YouTube, Pandora, and even popular games like Crossy Road and Candy Crush. With FireTV, you’re really not limited to just TV, and I’m confident that Amazon will be evolving this even further in the future. And, they offer the History channel, too!

Roku
On the Roku, you’ll be able to get all of your favorite channels, and more. You’ll have access to to your Amazon Prime Video, Sirius XM, Netflix, and Google Play subscriptions, but you also have your TV and streaming service subscriptions as well. As far as streaming devices go, the Roku has been there since the beginning, and has been around the bush a few times to say the least. Because of that, it’s one of the most reliable streaming devices you’ll find. The History channel is also readily available on it.

SlingTV
Have you ever gotten frustrated with all the unnecessary channels your cable company basically forces you into having, when you only care about a select few anyway? This is where SlingTV really shines. They offer packages to fit exactly your TV style. You can pick and choose what kinds of channels/packages you like best. And if you decide you want something different, you have the freedom to change without having to jump through a bunch of hoops. If you’re selective and proud, we highly recommend giving SlingTV a shot. It has all your favorites, including the History channel.

Don’t be scared away by “DirectTV.” DirectTV Now is a streaming service, and you won’t need to worry about a satellite or anything like that. With this streaming service, you’ll have the choice between 4 different packages. It’s $35 for 60+ channels, $50 for 80+ channels, $60 for 100+ channels, and $70 for 120+ channels. However, if you’re after the History channel specifically, you’ll be pleased to find that it’s included in their lowest priced package, for just $35 a month, which is an awesome deal.

Verdict
When choosing to trade cable in for a streaming device and service, it’s a great idea to do your research, since they’re becoming so popular and more and more are becoming available. Gh3 download mediafire full. But we really recommend these as a great place to start. Both SlingTV and DirectTV Now provide the History channel, so you really can’t go wrong with either. We wish you the best of luck in finding your go-to cable alternative!
